I hope everyone had a great weekend, it sounds like Saturday Live was a great success. Thank you so much for everything you donated to our basket! All the money raised comes straight back to our school and our kids, so I really appreciate it (and I'm sure some lucky pets will too)! Here is a cute picture of our it all put together!
In writing this week we are finishing up our personal narratives and we will have author's chair. We will then combine a little science with writing and start our "Drippy" stories. The kids have been learning about Earth's water and the water cycle in science, so we are going to write stories where the main character, "Drippy," travels through the water cycle. They should be a lot of fun and the kids usually enjoy them!!
In math we are going to spend a couple days taking our chapter 1 test. It is a bit long so I am going to break it up into two days. Then we will start into chapter 2, where we start with learning about interpreting data from a table, or tally chart, as well as a picture graph. We will end the week learning how to use data to make our own picture graphs.
Last week we talked a lot about respect and what it looks like and sounds like in our classroom, I really think it was helping our class and I hope for that to continue throughout the year! Enjoy the rest of your day!!
