The kids presented their inquiry projects on floods on Friday. Check out their presentations under the "Student Work" tab. All but one group was able to present.
In reading this week we are focusing on the essential question: What make different animals unique? We are focusing on the skills of visualizing, problem and solution, and synonyms. In writing we will continue working on our How-To informational pieces.
In math we will keep working on multiplication. This week we will focus on describing patterns in a table and solving for the unknown, for example: 4x___=16. Now is a great time to start practicing multiplication facts at home! We have learned all our multiplication strategies and now we are just practicing on getting the facts down! Last week we also learned a new math game, multiplication war. This is a great fun way to practice multiplication facts, have your kiddo teach you and play along with them!!
We have our field trip to the Rocky Mountain College Hanger at the airport on Wednesday, November 29th from 10:00-11:45. This goes along with our PLTW Flight unit. This is a great chance for the kids to learn more about planes and flight from experts as well as some students in the flight program at Rocky.
During our morning meeting this month we are now focusing on giving and how we can be a caring and giving individual.
Last week Ms. Waddell sent home the songs that the kids will sing for the Holiday program, please spend some time practicing at home so they are ready for the program on December 15th. :)
