We are jumping right back into everything this week!! During morning meeting we will be talking about the kids' 2018 goals.
In reading this week we are looking in the essential question: What ideas can we get from nature? We will focus on the skills of summarizing, main idea and key details, and root words. We will be stretching this essential question into next week as well. There will be no spelling test this week. On Friday we will finish a few of the overfishing inquiry presentations. For those kiddos who presented before break, check out a video of their presentation under the "student work" tab.
In math this week we are starting chapter 7 which focuses on practicing division facts. We will work on dividing by 2, 5, and 10. We will not do a new week of the multiplication memorization due to a short week.
In science we are working on our final flight project where the kids have to design a glider that can carry weight a designated distance.
