It was so fun to see so many of you at the Christmas program on Friday.  The kids did such a great job!! Check out some pictures and a video for each song under the "photos" tab.

We get to perform one more time at St. John's on Tuesday morning at 10:00.  We will leave the school about 9:45 and walk up there.  Please have your kiddo dress up again for this performance.  We should be back to the school by 10:20 or so.

We still have a great week planned this week before we head on break.  In reading this week we will be working on our overfishing inquiry projects.  The kids have almost finished research, then they will get in groups and create a google slides presentation.  They will also need to state their opinion on if they think overfishing is a problem or not, they will need to support their opinion with ideas from their research. We will present on Thursday.

In math this week we are continuing with division.  We will practice using the multiplication opposite to solve division problems.  We will also learn the division rules for 0 and 1 and work on multiplication and division fact families. We will take the chapter 6 test on Thursday.  We will continue with the multiplication memorization program.  The facts for this week are: 9x3=27, 5x9=45, 8x8=64, 2x3=6, 7x4=28, 4x5=20. The quizzes will also have last weeks facts on them as well.

On Thursday we get to go observe 5th grade health presentations in the gym from 8:30-9:15.

We have been reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl and as a special treat on Friday we are going to watch the old 1971 version of the movie: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.  It is rated G.  We are then going to compare and contrast the movie and the book.

    All About Me

This school year will mark my sixth year of teaching and I must say I am so blessed to be a part of such a great community at Arrowhead school. I am excited to begin a new year with a wonderful group of kids!! I grew up in Helena and attended college in Bozeman, MT at MSU. Go Bobcats!  While there I obtained a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Reading.  In 2016 I received a masters degree in Education Leadership. Five years ago I married my high school sweetheart, Tymon. We also have a four year old adorable mini australian shepherd puppy, Molly. When I am not teaching I love to be outside enjoying hiking trails or taking in a sporting event.
