This week we will have an evacuation drill on Monday morning from 8:45-9:45. We will walk up to the Lillis Center and practice in case we ever have a situation where we need to evacuate the school.
In reading this week we will be looking into the question: What can traditions teach you about different cultures? We will work on the skills of visualizing, sequencing, and context clues. We get to start small groups this week to which I can't wait for! We will be looking at traditions of different cultures in social studies as well.
In writing we are working on writing a friendly letter to one of our previous teachers!
In math this week we will be working on estimating differences as well as using mental math strategies to subtract. Toward the end of the week we will work on using place value to subtract.
In science this week we are looking at how we can predict when it might storm, as well as why some places are always hot.
