We had a great week of learning last week!! Thank you to everyone who sent in everyday array's, I told the kids they'll probably see them everywhere now!!  Multiplication in everyday life is so exciting!

We have a short week this week due to MEA conferences for teachers.  There is no school on Thursday and Friday, and Wednesday is a half day.

With this short week we are using our reading time to do some reader's theater and work on an inquiry project. The kids will get to look into landmarks and monuments in the United States and choose one to research further. It will be a quick, short project as we will try to present on Wednesday.

In writing we are sharing our personal narratives through author's chair.  In grammar we are working on capital letters.

In math this week we will finish up with chapter 3.  We will work on multiplying by 0 and 1 and then take our chapter 3 test. On Wednesday we will start working on strategies for multiplying by 2 and 4.

In social studies we will work on our Montana brochures, thinking about the physical geography, climate, and natural resources of Billings.

    All About Me

This school year will mark my sixth year of teaching and I must say I am so blessed to be a part of such a great community at Arrowhead school. I am excited to begin a new year with a wonderful group of kids!! I grew up in Helena and attended college in Bozeman, MT at MSU. Go Bobcats!  While there I obtained a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Reading.  In 2016 I received a masters degree in Education Leadership. Five years ago I married my high school sweetheart, Tymon. We also have a four year old adorable mini australian shepherd puppy, Molly. When I am not teaching I love to be outside enjoying hiking trails or taking in a sporting event.
