In writing this week we are finishing up our informative How To pieces and will share them in author's chair. I also hope to start working on our informative essay's later this week. In grammar we will continue working on plural nouns.
The kids did a really great job on their chapter 4 math tests going over the multiplication strategies. Now is a great time to start practicing their multiplication facts at home with flash cards, or if you have a deck of cards and a die, have them teach you multiplication spiral!! This week in math we are working on finding the unknown number. For example, 6xn=30 so n=5. We will also be learning how to multiply by multiples of 10.
In science this week we will be doing our three glider trials and comparing which type of planes (different wings and stabilizers) help the plane go the farthest distance. In social studies we will finish up our Montana brochures.
