Wow!  What a week of Dr. Seuss fun!  We also had a blast at our field trip to the Alberta Bair on Wednesday for Lights! Camera! Math!  The magician was quite amazing!! Last week we also celebrated Chris's birthday and welcomed a new student, Elizabeth!  Here are some pictures from our field trip.
In reading this week we are learning about the essential question: How are people able to fly? We are focusing on the skills of rereading, cause and effect, and multiple meaning words.  In writing we are working on fictional narratives and including idea that we have been researching about frogs into the stories.

In math this week we are continuing to work on telling time and time intervals.  We are working on elapsed time and using time intervals, and this can be difficult, so we will spend more time on it this week. We will also start learning about length and using rulers. We will practice measuring to the nearest inch, half inch, and fourth of an inch.

    All About Me

This school year will mark my sixth year of teaching and I must say I am so blessed to be a part of such a great community at Arrowhead school. I am excited to begin a new year with a wonderful group of kids!! I grew up in Helena and attended college in Bozeman, MT at MSU. Go Bobcats!  While there I obtained a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Reading.  In 2016 I received a masters degree in Education Leadership. Five years ago I married my high school sweetheart, Tymon. We also have a four year old adorable mini australian shepherd puppy, Molly. When I am not teaching I love to be outside enjoying hiking trails or taking in a sporting event.
