I hope everyone has/had a wonderful long weekend! Between basketball, hockey, skiing, and lego robotics it sounded like we had some busy kiddos this weekend! Remember there is no school for the kids on Monday and the teachers have a PIR day.
In reading this week we will be looking into the question: What ideas can we get from nature? We will work on the skills of summarizing, main idea and key details, and looking at root words. In writing we will work on future tense verbs and start on learning how to write a book review.
In math this week we will continue working on fractions. We will look at fractions on a number line, practice different ways to represent fractions, and compare fractions to whole numbers. Our six facts to practice this week are: 6x7, 4x9, 9x8, 3x8, 6x2, 6x5.
In science this week we will use our Vex IQ kits to build an inclined plane.
