In reading this week we will focus on the essential question: What do good citizens do? We will focus on the skills of asking and answering questions and author's point of view. In writing we will be sharing our fictional narratives through author's chair. Those kiddos who are still writing will be finishing up this week.
In math we are learning about capacity and mass. We will learn about liquid volume with liters and milliliters and mass with grams and kilograms. At the end of the week we will do some problem solving using liquid volume and mass.
We will spend time this week practicing our speeches for the wax museum. Please mark your calendars for the presentations on Friday, April 20th from 8:30-9:15. We will all be in the gym. Please also be working on your kiddos costume. If there are items you need please let me know!
I will be gone Wednesday-Friday of this week. Miss Hernandez (now Mrs. Knight) will be my sub! She is so excited to see the kids again and I know they will love seeing her!
Since I will be gone this week we will not be doing alternate centers. So even if your kiddo passes the pretest they will just do the spelling practice and spelling test on Friday. I just don't want Miss Hernandez to have to manage the alternate centers. Thank you for understanding. :)
