This week in reading we will be working on the comprehension strategy of monitoring our comprehension. Too often we don't stop when we are confused, or question when something doesn't make sense. We will be working to help with that this week! We are also identifying noun suffixes and homophones.
In math we will continue our memorizing our multiplication facts. Please keep working on that at home! We are also finishing up learning division strategies and moving into some problem solving with multiplication and division. In science we are finishing up our unit on plant and animal life cycles this week. In social studies we will finish learning a little bit about the Montana Indian tribes. The kids have started blogging on kidblog and they seem to love it!! I'm sure they would love for you to take a look and even comment on their writing!! This week we will also be learning about what we should say when we comment on others' blogs. Click here to see their blogs and even leave a comment!! December is going to fly by! Please have your kiddo practicing the words to their songs for the holiday program, it is on the 13th!! A sheet went home last week with the words! This week is also Barnes and Noble night on Thursday the 5th. Stop by from 4-8 to hear a story read by an Arrowhead Thanks so much and have a wonderful first week of December!!

All About Me
This school year will mark my seventh year of teaching and I must say I am so blessed to be a part of such a great community at Arrowhead school. I am excited to begin a new year with a wonderful group of kids!! I grew up in Helena and attended college in Bozeman, MT at MSU. Go Bobcats! While there I obtained a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Reading. In 2016 I received a masters degree in Education Leadership. Six years ago I married my high school sweetheart, Tymon. We also have a five year old adorable mini australian shepherd puppy, Molly. This year we are also welcoming our first child in February and we are so excited to be parents! When I am not teaching I love to be outside enjoying hiking trails or taking in a sporting event. CategoriesArchives
