Last week we had quite the week with a field trip to the zoo, field day, an awesome presentation from Kendal's dad, Brad, and a visit from Tymon on Friday to help the kids work on Father's Day gifts. I'm working on putting pictures up under the photos tab.
This week we will be participating in a school wide wiffle ball tournament. We have games on Monday and Wednesday, so please make sure to have tennis shoes with you on those days. This tournament is all about sportsmanship. We want to see the kids apply everything they have learned about being a good sport and being a part of a team. We will play other classrooms throughout the week and then the kids will vote on who they think showed the best sportsmanship. The student from each classroom who showed the best sportsmanship will then get to play in the All-Star teachers vs. students game on Friday morning at 9. This should be a really fun way to end our school year!
Throughout the week this week we will be presenting our unit 8 inquiry projects, finishing our folktales, writing letters to the 4th grade teachers and to next years 3rd grade students, looking back at all our units in lead21, playing some math games, and participating in a STEM challenge.
If you ordered a yearbook they will be given to the kids on Friday. We will be cleaning out desks on Thursday, so all notebooks and supplies will come home that day. Please still bring your backpack on Friday so you can carry yearbooks, snacks, and report cards home with you!
Friday is a half day and dismissal is at 11:45.
I can't believe this will probably be my last post for the year! Ahh! Thank you again for all your support, encouragement, and love this year! I feel so blessed to teach your children and be a part of their lives. They are each so special and have truly captured my heart!
