I just wanted to give some guidance for homework this week. Your kiddo will bring home a September poem that looks like the one above.  For homework they are to write an acrostic poem from the word September with a sentence starting with each letter.  We talked today about how it needs to be a sentence, not just a word.  We also discussed that they should try to write about things that might happen in September, such as fall sports, school starting, or the changing weather.  All homework is due on Friday.  Thanks so much and if you have any questions please call or email me!

Today we voted on our Saturday Live basket theme and we decided on "Snuggle in with a good book!"  So our idea is to bring in books, blankets, stuffed animals or anything that you would snuggle up and read with.  We also discussed gift cards to places where you could buy books.  I could even see a mug and hot chocolate as well!  You can start bringing in items at any time, but we need everything by the week of September 22nd. Also if there is someone who would be interested in putting our basket together please let me know, it would be greatly appreciated!!

Last announcement for today.  This Friday is our Ice Cream Social from 5:30-7:30 at the school.  Please join us for pizza, ice cream, and fun games!  I will be there working one of the inflatables and I would love to see you!  Have a great week!

    All About Me

This school year will mark my seventh year of teaching and I must say I am so blessed to be a part of such a great community at Arrowhead school. I am excited to begin a new year with a wonderful group of kids!! I grew up in Helena and attended college in Bozeman, MT at MSU. Go Bobcats!  While there I obtained a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Reading.  In 2016 I received a masters degree in Education Leadership. Six years ago I married my high school sweetheart, Tymon. We also have a five year old adorable mini australian shepherd puppy, Molly. This year we are also welcoming our first child in February and we are so excited to be parents! When I am not teaching I love to be outside enjoying hiking trails or taking in a sporting event.
